Hi everyone.... just before christmas i have seen something that if i can get confirmation will be quite a big news story on esato forums... The SE V800 may not be released on ANY other networks apart from Voda... which could mean no unbranded versions made available!

I am gonna have to wait till tuesday wen i am back in work to confirm this but rest assured u guys will be the first to know so keep an eye out on the forum for info...

Peace out and av a good boxin day peeps!

no doubt somewhere there is an unbranded version. Sony ericsson would have probably made generic firmware and then given it to Voda to destroy.

As far as I'm awear the V800 is Vodafone only althrough it is uncomfirmed. I know most of our 3G handsets are Vodafone exclusives, I'll look around on the my stores intranet tomorrow to find out more, then I'll give you the full story

The V800 can already be partially debranded - removing voda preinstalled items and locks.

i have seen an unbranded V800 myself with no voda logos on it any where. Maybe this was a prototype but there will be unbranded V800 soon. even if i have to do every single one myself.

Including the outer casing? I mean obviously the back is easy to replace but the front with the external display must be relatively hard lol

@sainty

yes no voda logos what so ever, i saw this a while ago now and there are also lots of pics on the internet.

just did a quick search here

maybe it made before SE found a buyer for an exclusive deal?

Those are not prototypes they are Swiss V800's in that I mean due that Vodafone does not have a big market share in the company supplying them they could not plaster there logo all over the phone.
