Yes, I can send SMS from my computer... it's a Mac...

All I do is open Mac OS X's Address Book, click the mobile number I want to send to, type the message and send. It gets sent via the Bluetooth connected mobile I have (K700).

Also, any SMSs I receive appear on my computer's screen when they arrive on my phone!

Easy, and built right in to the operating system.. no extra software or configuration required!

The only way i've found so far is using the app Remote P900.
Shows your phones screen on your pc which can be manipulated by mouse and keyboard.

Yes, you need Office 2003 and Microsoft Outlook SMS Add-in (MOSA) :

desktopmessage!

from the same guy as remote P900

does basically send & retrieve SMS, not a spectacular interface, but it works fine, make sure to get the beta, which supports 256+ char SMS'es

I didn't think the Pxxx phones could support sending SMS from a PC or MAC directly, due to lack of functionality in Symbian.

Aye but who's going to fork out for Outlook 2003 for such a basic software function available to many phones on the market today.
