> k500 housing peels?
Bookmark topic
Hi guys, my first post here on Esato (and on any other forum for that matter) so here goes

I bought a silver k500i yesterday after deciding between it and a k700i and chose it because of its features and the fact that it suits my budget (I'm only 16). However, during my research prior to purchasing the phone, I've read about 3 or 4 different people in several forums complaining about the silver finish around the screen of the phone peeling off. I've seen this in real life in one of the displays at my local phone store and it is UGLY

Now I'm really paranoid about it and I am taking extra care of my mobile because of it. Just wondering if there is anyone else who has experienced this and if so where can I purchase an ILO-20 (I think) cover in Australia (not over the internet). Thanks guys, and sorry about the long post

hey dont forget the phones that u see in store are often dummy fones with no working inards... i.e. pieces of plastic with lead in them... they dont represent the build quality of the fone... yet this problem is known about in various telco's.
get a swap or stay away from them.

@gov, thanks for the peace of mind! I can now handle my phone without being paranoid now (sort of

)! It's been haunting me quite a bit since AU$396 is alot for a 16 year old to spend on - but so far I have no regrets! Cheers!
...Now to find out where the nearest service centre in Melbourne is

No problems or indication of wear on my K500 neither. Had it for a month now.

Have a k500i for more than a month now and so far no problems. Have accidentally droped it a couple of times and the cover is still ok and the phone still works.
