hello. i just got a p910i over the holidays...
im having trouble with some free themes which i downloaded here..c/o another generous member...
when i drag the .utz files to my document folder, it says it can't recognize such files.

also, is there a better file manager program/software thats more user friendly than the default one that comes with the fone? (MyP910i icon on the desktop)?
any tips guys?

im not so much of a techie, so any tip on maximizing usage of fone would be surely appreciated

thanks.

the standard file manager only lets you transfer specified file types into certain folders. you need to get either qfileman or epocware's fileman and PC file manager (which you can download at http://www.epocware.com) to be able to play around with all other file types.

when you have fileman installed, simply drag the utz files into the folder where tracker stores its skins and you're all set.

you don't need any extra file manager to do this.

just read any of the many "how to install themes" threads, for example this first search I did revealed quite a few, the first of which looks very useful

I am assuming that you have your .utz file on your pc desktop and i will call it test.utz

How to install a theme using the supplied syncstation

Connect the syncstation to your pc and place your PXXX in the cradle

Once your phone has been reconised (and you have clicked on the reminders) twice left click on the PXXX Icon on your desktop then twice left click My PXXX twice left click Phone Memory twice left click Document twice left click Unfiled

Left click on the test.utz on your pc desktop and drag and drop the test.utz into the open browser folder once transfered close down both browser folders

Remove your PXXX from the cradle

Click on Applications scroll down and click on File Manager scroll down and click on Document scroll down and click on Unfiled twice click on test.utz and click on Install the theme will now be installed and you will be asked if you want to apply the theme press Yes

Now tick the box on the left of the test.utz and click on File click on Delete click on Yes

Instead of using Sync station ( USB) i used Infrared to transfer the utz files to my beamed folder in message box... however i could also transfer the utz files to the documents folder of C or D drive over infrared....
