> K700i phonebook full of bugs
Bookmark topic
Hi all !!
I have serious problems with the phonebook of my k700i.
When I pick, for example, to call "Alex" from my contacts, the phone calls "Alex" correctly but in the "Dialled" calls it shows that I called "Nick" which has the number of "Alex" !!
When somebody calls me, I can not see his name on the screen or on the Answered calls, although his number exists in my contacts.
If I go to my contacts and just re-save the number that called me then all of a sudden the name appears on the Answered calls.
I have 5 messages in the Inbox. Although all of the 5 senders are in my contact list, one of the messages' header shows the number and not the name of the sender.
If I go to the Contacts and just re-save the number of that contact, then the name appears in the Inbox, but another name disappears and the number stands there instead !!!
I do the same, and the result is that one name appears and another one disappears !!!!
In Groups, I pick, for example, "Nick" to add in the group, but the phone adds "Peter" !!!!
I'm dissappointed......
The f/w of the phone is R2AA003

If the unit is bought in less than a week go and ask them to exchange the unit.
This is nothing normal

R2AE 033 is the latest, but if the store isnīt a service center the most likely canīt update the phone.
also check if the sim-card is old

My K700i is doing the same thing. I also have the same firmware. Is the only solution to exchange the phone?

R2AA003 is old? I deleted all my contacts on the sim, which made it worse, then I deleted all the contacts on the phone, and then re-entered them. Everything seems fine now. If I update the firmware, will it reset the phone making me have to re-enter everything?
