I'm thinking about purchasing a P910. Can anyone tell me what their experience has been syncing with a Mac using isync? Does it work? Any problems? Thanks.

Works fine after a bit of hacking around with .plist files.

Thanks! I'll be in touch if I have any problems. I've heard reports that there are problems syncing in both directions, i.e. changes made on phone do not appear on Mac. Is that not true?

Well maybe if you don't modify the .plist files... All I can say the for ME, it works perfectly, as it has done with all my previous bluetooth phones.

Are you able to do anything with AddressBook? I mean send/receive SMS's or dial numbers? I know for certain my P900 doesn't.

Address Book connects up just fine, but I don't *think* it sends any sms (although it doesn't provide any error codes either). Haven't tried dialing yet.

Well, it may connect just fine, but it if it doesn't send SMS's or dial then it's not doing much. I suppose not much has changed from what my P900 has, as it opens the SMS box but nothing seems to be sent!

Does the P910 at least show any dialog (when connected) and you receive a call or an SMS?

My old T68i used to spin PC users' head when they see that it does all the above and more!

Yeah, i know what you mean about the T68i: I have one, and as far as mac interaction goes, it blows the P series clean out of the water!!

None of SonyEricsson's Symbian OS phones allow sending and recieving of text messages via Address Book. This is a limitation of the Symbian OS, not the Mac. Apparently SE haven't implemented the required AT commands for SMSs that other phones such as the T610, K700 etc have.
