To all great Esato forum viewers,

With the ever increasing ability of phones now, and the great 3G phones, like the V800 that allow a camera to be pointed right up to your face while you look at a phone, i've had a little idea...
I challenge anyone to build a utility, script, or something for a sony ericsson (or any other brand of phone) to enable a message, sms, mms or otherwise, take a picture of the person looking at the phone as they read the message on camera of the phone and send the image back to the person who send them the message for a laugh.
So if you send them something funny, or rude, or just plain disgusting, you can see their reaction, maybe without them even knowing!

What do you think? Is it possible?
Let me know!

this is a difficult one. symbian programming could do this.
although java would be better for a wider range of phones.
but this would be against people's privacy

It may be possible but how will it take a picture if they arent looking at the camera which is usually on the back of the phone with the screen on the front?

Love the idea, but not sure if it would work, firstly the person would know that something is going on when it starts the connection to send the image and secondly in some phones (p series) it actually asks the user to confirm that they want to use the connection.

From the looks of it, you want to capture the person's suprise reaction as they're reading the message, but I'm sorry, that's never going to work, because that's such an invasion of privacy.

Can you imagin the world where you can just send a message to anyone, triggering their camera to take a picture anywhere they are? Scenrios such as boy friend sends a "special" message to see who's hanging out with his girlfriend, parents sending messages to see if their college son is partying, perverts sending messages to little girls, etc. would happen. Now, do you still think that's a good idea?

I would be very active in fighting for legislation making such illegal. I shudder to think of the possibilities the development of such a script would open up. Quite an imaginative idea, but: No, no, no, letz not go there. This message was posted from a P800

No The issue would be privacy.
Anyway heres also a fun suggestion (And its working Mind You!)

You could always leave your Mobile Phone (secretly) on a bathroom or something(The risk is getting it lost) and activate the phones camera via bluetooth on your laptop or desktop and taking successive pictures with it in webcam mode. (This is possible with FMA) Therefore having some nasty pics.

im not a pervert just having fun with your cell is good enough a reason.
Anyways you could also use the same technique spying on anyone you suspect of hiding something....

What ya Think????
