I was wondering if anybody knew where to source just the joystick alone for the k700, I had a look and it looks very easy to replace (only 6 solder points)
If we could get these cheap enough, it may just save me from smashing my phone against a wall lol.

i read this in another forum, dont know if this will work, the guy who posted told to perform the service tests and the joystick would work properly for some time.

I experienced the same problem in the down and left directions but it usually gets ok in a day or so

Joystick of my T68i works well even now, when my phone is 2 years and 7 months old. Of course, I take good care of the phone. For example I keep it in standing position, in a cup. So the dust can't fell directly in to (on to) joystick and other keys.

When I am on move I carry it inside nice leather holder.

Sorry I'm responding too late..But then no harm in posting a resource full and time saving step..!

I googled some pages and found the best way to make a unresponsive joystick to work is to try and yank it out..I opened my precious and tugged at the joystick with cloth padded clippers and pulled it out with jerks for a few tries..and voila it worked..No the lazy joystick has become responsive...!
