So the hype is over for V800, it's still a great phone, but now when everyone have feeled it, does it still being the nr1 to buy next year?
Thnk god that we can unlock it for others operators =) so we can atleast make cheap calls and wap at good price. now we gotta wait for some housing from the unbranded ones and a new firmware.

Here in Austria there wasn't a hype for the V800 at all. 70% of all sold V800 were sent back because of massive errors and bugs. I don't think the V800 with the Vodafone Software is a good phone at all.

What kind of errors were found? Anyone have an ideas? My Vodafone V800 seems fine to me just a few very minor bugs but nothing else that I've found.

over here it was one of the best sellers in Vodafones UMTS line up.
And although there were a few with problems (like dropping calls) most I believe were kept and I myself am still very very pleased with the phone.
I gotta ask though, why bother buying a phone if you're gonna flash it/debrand it/slap a new housing on?
Wouldn't it be easier to simply wait for the next model and wait till your operator start doing 3G? Coz so far it's Vodafone, 3 and Orange (in some countries) only, right?

Yeah pretty much. If you like any phone so much go on the network its for, else get a different phone
Oh and your themes are amazing, they were one of the first items I put onto my brand new V800!!

Thank you so much!

@Vlammetje
great themes, cant wait to try them out.
BTW about the network thing, i am planning to use the voda sim for 3g services but i will try and get a dual sim adaptor for use with either/or my o2 and orange sims.

Well, in case of 3 Sweden´s Z1010 it was a bargain, £75!
Sold all i could get my hands on except one that my girlfriend use (with Telia SE 2G SIM)
My Moto V3 is imported by Vodafone so in that case i didn´t have much of a choice, i will have it unlocked ASAP though if for no other reason than pure principal.
Bottom line: If you want a certain phone and want it NOW, this is what you´ll have to do..

Telfort (netherlands) is gonna put up 3G in combination with EDGE in the summer of 2005 to. Maybe the V800 wil be available without simlock by then.
