Anyone tried Flash animations on their V800. I read on Sony Ericsson Japanese site the V802 phone supports flash animations as well. Does the V800, too?

Well, yeah, but this isn't what I meant.

Check here:

There's a reference to Macromedia Flash and SVG Tiny formats being readable by the phone

probably wat it says is... the phone can read flash files.. without converting it into other format e.g, jpeg or gif.

But wat i heard is that the UI that V800 uses, is using Flash. Th whole phone's menus etc etc. are Flash, that is why, there are cool animations in the phones...

I beleieve V800 frimware package doesn't include Flash Player.

I was using V802SE Japanese Frimware before that i can able to play & use those Flash file be my screensaver....COOL....

While I change to frimware to Z800i, it cann't recongize the flash file anymore.

Does anyone have idea to make Z800i / V800 frimware be a flash player ready set?

I think you're referring to Flash Lite. This only works for smartphones and selected phone models that has the Flash Lite player installed.

I have read in a macromedia forum that Flash Lite is supported in the SE V800 browser implementation.

Yeah, i read that too. Proper swf files are very large and require fantastic graphics cards to be able to run properly!

If you have a V800 then go into the picture folder and, I think there is an MMS file there that has an "f" on it. I think this is what the original poster meant.

k yes V800 does support flash animations. I've tried making some flash animations.. and publish it by playing with flash lite and it plays in the V800.. as the phone has a flash lite player in it... works fine... very smooth sharp animations too... and the file size is like 3time smaller than gif... woohoo... can set flash animations as external background, main background, contacts, screen saver... all is gd!!
