> S700i PC connectivity

Morning all. Hope everyones well.
I am trying to do something that I thought would be very very simple.
I have just given my g/f her new S700i and am trying to connect it to the laptop to download themes etc. I have installed the PC suite it came with and have restarted the laptop, however its just not connecting.
I have a P910i and have successfully connected with that for months no problem, however pop the S700 on the cradle and its just not being recognised. Can anyone shed any light on the matter at all?

The cradle is a bad option i must say.
Better to use IR or BT.
Anyway, have you installed "Sony Ericsson File Manager"?
This app will add an icon to your windows explorer to access S700i folders.
*NOTE*-This will install a phone monitor different than the one used with PXXX phones. Each monitor could be using the port exclusively, so the other can't "listen" to it.
Optionally you can use FMA and it's "Upload feature". Just configure FMA to use the port associated with the cradle.

Am I right in saying that I cant have both the S700 and P910 all working off the same PC Suite?
I cant imagine the inconvenience of only having one piece of phone software installed at any one time!

You can have both installed.
You just need to get a way to enable/disable the port monitoring of each other.
