> No SMS Receipt using P910i & O2
Bookmark topic
Not receiving "received" receipts for any of the texts I'm send from my P910i on O2 (UK).
I'm setting delivery reports on for each of the texts I send and my understanding is that I should then receive a text when the recipient has received the text. No joy.
Is anyone else on O2 with a P910i and successfully receiving read receipts? O2 customer support is expensive and useless (muppets following scripts).
Can anyone help please?

welcome to Esato
yeah its a common complaint here on Esato. O2 don't seem to use the standard receipt method so you have to prefix the text of your message with *0# (from memory)

Yep, that's correct - you wont get a delivery report out of O2 regardless of what phone you've got your sim in!
The *0# method works, just put that at the start of your message(no space after it required) and you'll get a confirmation text back once the other party recieves the text.

i guess the *0# is an international code for delivery reports.

Here in Sweden with Comviq/Tele2 it is: KV# for delivery report.

Many thanks to you both...works a treat. Shame the P910i doesn't have SMS templates so I can add it in automatically. Quite quick to add manually once you get used to it though I guess
While I have your attentions: have you successfully set up the P910i "push" email on O2? Is it possible to add a couple of email accounts into the P910i and get emails from them automatically sent to the phone without periodically dialling in and checking?
Again something that O2 customer support were less than helpful with.
I haven't actually searched the forums yet for an answer to this question (cardinal sin!) so apologies if this has been covered to death.
Thanks again,
Jason.
