I installed PC Suite 3.1.1 and everything works fine until I remove my phone from the cradle and reinsert it. The phone connection link finds the phone but I never get the phone icon and there is no connection.

I have tried everything I could and SE said that it was probably a hardward problem with the cradle. It is not because the same thing happens if I use bluetooth to connect. I get one initial connection and then it never reconnects until after I reboot.

Has anyone elese had this problem or have any ideas? Thanks, Bill

Sorry cant help you here.
Creating four threads for the same subject is not advised on a forum. If you want to put the thread back into peoples view just bump it by making another post within that thread.

I actually did not intend to post four times -- my crazy robo password utility did the reposting each time I logged in! -- I fixed it now. Sorry.

Are you using a PC or a Mac? What OS?

Have you tried unplugging the DSS-25 from your computer before trying to connect again?

I am using XP Pro - I have tried everything including unplugging the Sync Station, reloading PC_Suite, drivers, calling SE, removing Zone Alarm, trying two other computers, etc. Nothing works!

well what a pickle.

maybe it is a firewall problem, or something (another application) conflicting with the connection.

it might be worth going into ctrl alt del and ending all processes you dont need. Then try to connect again.

I've had a similar problem on occasion, if I put my phone in the cradle, then remove it and try to connect it again later, it will connect but not allow me to access the phone.

What I usually do is unplug the cradle without the phone in in it, wait a few seconds then plug the USB cord back in. Once the computer recognizes the cradle, i put the phone on and it usually works. I don't usually restart or re-install the software.

I haven't tried multiple connections in a row with bluetooth.
