I know this has been posted before(I've read through 25 pages of posts on this subject) but I am still unable to get my new P900 to sync. It just won't connect at all. I have:
1)Installed and reinstalled both the PC Suite and DSS Driver(got current version from SE)
2) Edited my Windows Firewall to allow all the different parts of the sync app to function(even turned the firewall off as well).
3) Disabled Norton Antivirus
4) Checked and rechecked the matching COM ports in the connection manager and the Phone Connection Link.
After all this, I am still unable to see my phone when connected to my PC. Under link properties, it says connecting, but nothing ever happens. Even reset the phone a few times. I'm running XP Pro w/SP2 if that will help at all. If anyone has any idea(no matter how crazy) please post it. I am going to rip my wife's hair out if I can't get this to work soon!!!

Hi mate,
I have the same problem with my P900, but only after it fell in water.
Try going to Control Panel > Connections > Cable, and set it to 'Modem'. Click OK, and it will return to the connections list. Then go back into the Cable properties, and choose 'PC Connect' again. Then place your P900 back on the syncstation and it might connect to the PC Successfully.
This works for me, hope it solves your issue. If your phone is still under warranty, i suggest you have it checked out.
Any further questions, feel free to drop me an e-mail.
