http://www.flash-memory.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=208 are advertising the Sandisk version of the 1GB Memory stick duo pro for £88.91. Has anybody tried them or seen any cheaper? It does show that it is not in stock. The price is less than half that of the Sony version, so I hope this will be the general retail price.

but do u know if the transfer rate is quicker using a memory card reader as opposed to use the phones dock via usb ?
as it takes long enough just to fill my 32mb card!

Yes a card reader is much faster. It needs to be USB2 though.

Hmm... I have just been reading an interesting little article on bar codes... This is the standard barcode for a 1024MB memory stick duo made by Sony:
And here... Is the barcode for a 128Mb one:
Now imagine some evil person swapped them around before taking them to the checkout... Only theoretically of course, but i doubt the checkout drone would notice anything!
BTW: You have to print the images on glossy paper for a 100% chance of them working

So do these 1gb duos actually work with p900s? or even the 512s?
I also need the biggest memory stick duo for a new handycam sony camcorder i got, does anyone know the biggest i can get for that?

@ Steady, your P900 will only take up to a 128MB Memory Stick Duo, unless your P900 is flashed with P910i software or you actually get a P910i, you wont be able to use the 512MB or 1GB Memory Stick Duo's.
