When you turn on your P910, what turns on first ?
1) Backlight, then the screen (sonyericsson logo), keypad light
2)Screen, then the backlight, keypad light
3)Backlight, keypad light, than the screen.
My phone has this :
The screen turns on after 1 sec showing the logo(screen), the backlight turns on, then on the Flight Mode, Help & Phone On menu ,the keypad lights turn on.
Is that a bug ?

Well, first the backlight screen doesnt light up till the whole boot sequence is done.
Then yes it takes forever.

The phone may check to see if the flip is present and working OK at startup, like your PC does (POST) Power On Self Test
