oh my god
im soo pissed off

i was using this program K700 Dateimanager downlaoded from here
http://k700.hitziger.net/

so i conected using bluetooth and everything is working and stuff. so i was thinking maybe if i replaced over my protected files with the same one and see if i can delete it but it DIDNT replace over it. all it did was caused the protected file to rename it self with a "_(1)" behind the name

i had a file named waip.thm and i transfered it over to my phone hoping it would replaced over the protected waip.thm file but it caused it to have renamed itself to "Waip_(1)"

i can delete the Waip.thm but i CAN'T delete the Waip_(1).thm one.

so what i did was tryed it again.. *i shouldnt off"

i did it again with the same file but i added with the "_(1)" behind it and hoping it might allow it to go back to normal. BUT all it did was added another _(1)_(1).thm to the end of the file..

now i have a nice long ass Waip_(1)_(1)_(1).thm in my themes folder and i cant nice delete it..

i have tried phone resset and everything but its still there..

WTF have i done to my phone ??
please help me asap.

ps i have also done this to that sony erricson.gif. its now like sony erricson_(1)_(1)_(1).gif

Did you do a master reset or a settings reset? Have you tried renaming it to waip? Do the 13 second trick to get all the extra undeleteable items removed. But you will still have waip though. This message was posted from a K500

Do a master reset. After the phone restarts, at the 13th second take your phone's battery out. Put it back and restart the phone as usual. Its on your risk though. This message was posted from a K500

13 second trick does NOT work with the k700 ! Dont try it ! Its only for the t610 model.

I've noticed that when the master reset is done on the t610, it erases the memory, adds predefined items and stuff and then restarts but this is not the case in k700 as i've noticed from my experience, it clears the memory, then restarts and then loads the predefined items.

well i've done the master at least 5 times since i bought the phone, each time i do it, it clears the memory in like 10 seconds (so no 13 seconds) and it restarts and loads the predefined stuff or whatever.

@govi - how did you do it ?

@neon - unfortunately even a master reset did not solve that problem for me. Its no cause for worry. I have a sony ericsson_(1)_(2)_(1).gif file. It doesnt bother me
