Hi
does anyone know of a program that can raise the volume (permanently) of a .avi movie??
I need to do it cause ive got one that i want to convert to dvd and the sound is waaaaaaay low.

If your target is DVD then you can adjust the output audio when you convert it to MPEG2. I use TMPGEnc 3.0 Express to convert my AVI's to DVD. It has a lot of features including an audio filter that allows you to adjust the volume or simply just normalize the sound of the entire video.

Sorry it isn't, but if you're into making DVDs I think it's relatively cheap.

Edit: There's a trial version that allows you to convert full videos to VCD/DVDs for a few days (14 days I think). That should be able to help.
