Hi,

just wondering if there is a way to lock the power button, or some sort of confirmation screen ?

just a few times now when i have unlocked the keypad to check something then acidentally touched the power off button, and my phone switches off !

Thanks

I keep switching my phone off during calls because the button is really soft compared to the P800.

It's a bit of a pain. Would be good if it confirmed switch off first.

I can only repeat here that which I suggest each time this question is asked and that is to enable flight mode prompting.

then it will prompt before powering off and you will need to confirm and no 3rd party software is required

@ph03n!x

What if your phone hangs, how do you do a soft reset? Because normally, a ten-second press on the power button would enable the user to do a soft reset.

Thatīs because you have Flight mode enabled.
As masseur earlier wrote, it depends on if you have the Flight mode enabled or disabled. You can do this setting in the Control panel -> Device tab -> Flight mode. I think the default setting is enabled.

So when you hold the power button it will come up with a screen and you have 3 options to choose from: power off, flight mode and help. So you cannot turn the phone off accidently without having to choose the power off option and click done.
