FGS. I'm moderating a thai SE webboard and seriously approx. 10 people sends me questions that is K700 have really stopped manufacturing. Rumors from one website went all over the place and no once could confirm from my source. One of my friends says yes it has and the other says no it hsan't. Its killing me right now.

I asked my source once again this question and 5 out of 10 people said yes and no. Only you guys here would know much more that those people because its a pretty much big issue because this model is still on the road in the market and I need confirmation of whether it has or not. Thnx!

I don't know much about this sort of stuff....

I'd be extremely surprised if they had stopped manufacturing it though!

They haven't even announced its predecessor yet and demand for the phone I would of thought would increase as it is offered free on many contracts!

As far as anybody outside SE can tell, the K700i is doing great in the marketplace. There is no substitute for it from SE. Therefore it would make no sense at all for them to stop manufacturing the K700. The only reasons for a stop at this moment in time, would be a lack of compontents or severe quality problems in production. If this were the case, manufacturing would resume at fulll capacity as soon as the problems were resolved.

K700 is under production, and there's no problem with it. It won't phase out in the next 6 month.

I wouldn't have thought its been discontinued yet, though the phone is quite old now. It's better brother(s700)is around now...So it shouldn't be too long until the k700 ceases production. This message was posted from a Nokia

I don't understand why so many Esationians consider the S700 a 'sucessor' of the K700. It is a different kind of phone.
In todays market it is hard to distinguish straight model lines and I think that is how the manufacturers want it to be.
Therefore I don't think the production of one model will be stopped when the 'next' model is on cruise speed, because there is no such thing as a 'next' model.
