> SMS received but not shown on my P900

Hi! I have a rather annoying problem with my P900. When someone sends an SMS to me they get a receipt that the SMS has been delivered but my P900 won’t show it. First I thought it was a problem with my operator but now I think it’s a problem with my phone. The reason is this. I commute daily by air so I frequently use the flight mode. After 5-7 minutes in the flight mode all the SMS for the day suddenly displays. As I’m in the flight mode the SMS must have been received earlier but not shown. What to do? I’ve updated the phone twice – but the problem remains. As usual SE-support says that they never have heard of this problem.

Hi,
I had this problem on my P900 on the Orange network. I had over 1000 text messages on my phone and clearing all of them seemed to fix it. I narrowed it down to a lack of storage space. This may or may not be the answer.
Hope this helps.

It was the phones internal memory. You'd be a complete moose to use your SIM card to store SMS Messages! This problem only came about a few months after it dropped in water though. I think it just got confused. Try clearing all your Recieved/Sent messages (do a backup first if you like to keep them all, like me), and see if you get the SMS Recieved notification after that. If it works then you know where the problem lies.
Hope this is useful to you.
