i have a samsung e715 and i use t mobile. i want a samsung d415 on t mobile (same network). people say i need to do the upgrade thing but i don't want to. is it possible if i can just put my sim im using in the samsung e715 in my new phone? if not what and how do i do this?

Yes, you can do that as long as the new phone is either an unlocked phone or a T-Mobile branded phone.
