Hi people,
I need some advice. I'm thinking of buying a wireless router modem to set my own wireless network @ home.
The specs i need is:
- 802.11g compatible (54 Mbps).
- Router & ADSL Modem (Annex A (analog line)).
- Wired/Wireless capabilities.
- WPA capabilities would be good.
Do you have one? Which brand is it? Was it easy to set it up?
Have you found some problems while working with it?
P.S.-I need some personal experiences, not manufacturer website addresses. I've looked at them all

. Maybe some reviews site would be good.
TIA

I have experience from D-link and Netgear.
D-link DI-624 was never working stable (dropping internet connection) but Netgear works perfect since a couple of months.
An advice is to buy ADSL modem and WLAN router separate. If you move or change internet connection you can keep router.
Another advice I got when purchasing was to buy router and network card / dongle from the same manufacturer.
Just my thoughts and experiences...
Something I'm missing is a button on the Accesspoint to shut off WLAN. Nice if you are not using broadband for a while

Thanks floke.
I've been reading some reviews, and i'm very much inclined for Netgear.
People say it's very easy to set up, and have no connection problems whatsoever.

Well, i've gone with netgear, along with a D-Link 504 DSL router, which works ok, just make sure you have all the latest firmware (should come pre-installed) otherwise there have been some issues with the D-Link, but nothing to worry about really.

I've used netgear and currently have the d-link 624 with a separate d-link adsl modem. I wouldn't recommend the d-link kit. can you believe both the adsl modem and the wireless router assign themselves the same IP address 192.168.0.1 meaning you have to find a support document that talks you through how to make the pair work together!
once that is sorted the d-link configuration is nice and yeah, it did used to drop from time to time but the latest firmware on the DI-624 (v131) works great now.
Having set quite a few wireless networks up for friends I'd recommend a single box with adsl modem and wireless router and even changing adsl provider is just a matter of changing the settings stored in the device... thats if you get one which saves the settings in no volatile memory so it can auto connect when you power on. I don't like the ones that require you to "dial out" to connect the adsl service manually from the pc

Hi @Krubach
I've used the D-Link products when they were the 1st 22Mb kit on the market and if you go for them keep any eye on the .com site as the .co.uk I found to be very poor. I've setup a few Netgear, 3com and Belkin but my current favourite is the all in one DrayTek Vigor2600G

Well, I got myself the NETGEAR DG834G Modem/Router and a WG511 PC Card for my laptop.
After 5 mins plugging cards & cables and 5 minutes settings things up, I'm now posting from my laptop using my wireless network.
