I use pocket streets software on my mpx200,does anyone know of similar software for the p900?
For those unfamiliar with the software,it allows you to download maps of most major towns/cities in the world and view them on your phone,it really is a nice bit of kit and i really need something like it on my p900.

Yep, there are a few options:

1. Tube Series
===========

This is a series of maps and Tube Maps including the A-Z London Street map. But London streets only covers Zones 1 and 2 fully; London has 6 Zones.

And the the A-Z London Map isn't as nice detailed as I think it should be.

2. StreetMap UK
=============

This is free and although intended for use on a pc, works reasonably well on the Pxxx phones. For some reason it won't run on the latest version of the Opera browser, and it is better viewed in Full Screen mode.

3. MultiMap
=========

Another free option.

I think, you can get maps for places in other countries

4. Mapway Walking Maps @ T-Mobile UK
==============================

This is a WAP service.

It gives you navigation/route maps to follow, up to a distance of about 6 miles.

The product is brilliant in my opinion, with route maps detailing landmarks along the way including local shops (and not just big famous ones), a few house numbers, pubs etc so you can't get lost.

Route maps cost £0.50 a time which you will see on your phone bill.

It is accessible through T-Mobile UK's T-Zones WAP portal. I am not sure if this is an exclusive arrangement with T-Mobile.

The address, from a T-Mobile phone is:

5. Wayfinder
=========

A gps,and also a non gps, navigation system with downloadable maps. But as far as I am aware there is no option to save individual maps as seperate image files.

There are a nhmber of limitations and feathres lacking in this product but it is the best navigation software for the Pxxx series phone at present; and is likely to remain the best for at the very least, another four to six months (at which point there will be competing products from TomTom and Route 66).

There is a trial version.

I hope that helps.
