Hello i had a day today that was mildly more exciting than the last day i worked so here goes with what i did an wot i saw...

It all started on my way into work (HQ). I found lots of bluetooth devices including one called 'Spunk Monkey' (y o y would he do that!). Anyway i sent him a contact entitled 'You will go blind' then another sayin 'if u keep doing that' followed by 'stick to bananas!'

looking round i couldnt see ne1 so it spoilt my morning, or so i thought. I turn up at work to everyone feeling very happy after new years eve and all ready to test the latest handsets... wooopeee dooo....

First handset is the Sharp 802. Like its older brother the 902 the sharp is slightly bigger than most camera phones but does boast 3G enablement (is that a real word???) and a 1.3 megapixel camera. as well as all the usual stuff like ringtones, a screen, a speaker and a power connector. Well the menu is just like the GX25, SH902, V800 and K700... with pretty vodafone icons everywhere... lol. This phone is gonna be a direct contender to the V800 and hopefully will be out end of january (maybe an indication of the release of an unbranded V800 series on other networks?)

My second fone to test was a Nokia phone (cant remember its name) which looked like a pen. God i hate nokias and this one did my nut in! no keypad! WHY! i still have fingers! i havent evolved into a superior being yet!!! I am pretty quick at txtin but it took me nearly 5 minutes to right a 160 character message on that damn wheel! NOTE TO NOKIA! MAKE SOME PROPER PHONES AND NOT FASHION STATEMENTS!

The last fone we had a test to do of was the Sanyo V801sa (J-phones labelling). this hasnt got a release date and is just going through testing to decide whether or not we r going to release it in the UK on Vodafone... take a look at https://www.vodafone.jp/scrip[....]nline_shop/products/select.jsp

good phone, bit big for my liking but if sold over here will probably sell well. very similiar to oranges sanyo fone... Camera takes ok pics for a .3 megapixel fone cam. Apart from that good good on sanyos side...

We all want sharps to come out in Japans colours though... nothing like an orange, pink, blue, red, silver, black, white or gold colour choice to get people talking.... (thats just the sharp series colours.. although they have much better names like Athens Blue and Manhatten Gold lol )

Anyway am off.... until next month when we get some new fones to try an moan about...

Speak soon.

J.
