> HP iPAQ stereo bluetooth headset
Bookmark topic
I was asked
here to give a litte more info about this headset so rather than going off topic I thought I would start here
I picked up this headset from
HP direct last week and I am quite pleased with them. The quality is excellent (depending on the quality of the music or video source of course) and the battery does last around 8 hours which is around the length my iPAQ will last watching movies etc so thats perfect.
They come with 4 plugs which attach to the a/c adaptor so you can charge them in most countries and they also come with a little adaptor which can connect to the iPAQ charger so that it too can charge them meaning you only carry one charger. A soft pouch is also included.
The installation CD has the iPAQ "high quality audio on BT-headphones" drivers which are provided by widcomm and is a breeze to install. After that its just a matter of making the BT connection and the sound comes through to the headset.
The left earpiece on the headset itself has a large button in the centre surrounded by 4 other buttons. The large button in the middle serves as on and off while the other buttons provide volume up and down buttons and next or previous track.
this headset fits comfortably but as its the style with the band behind your head rather than ontop and I haven't used that style before it does take some getting use to.
one dissapointment (which I knew about in advance) is that only iPAQ drivers are supplied so I cannot currently use it with my PC although using some networking software on my iPAQ to access the drives of my pc I believe I can get the iPAQ to play any music from my pc and thus listen to it on the headset

I'll try that sometime this week
here is a good review on
Dave's iPAQ site
