> Editing Existing Themes On The P910
Bookmark topic
Hi there. I need help here, how do I copy the default themes in the P910 to the computer so that I can edit them a bit e.g. Into The Blue, Orange Crush. Can anyone help me on this? Thank you.

You need to download a File Manager program that allows access to the System folder of Drive C, and the the two other ROM drives.
Copy the relevant *.utz file and the ring tones or whatever that is associated with the theme to you memory stick, beam it all over to your pc and then edit away.
There are a number of File Manager's you can use. Symbianware produce one, Epocware (creators of Handy Day) produce one, and there is a free one simply called File Manager. Go to the My Symbian website where you will find nearly every program ever created for the Symbian platform:

I hope that helps.

here is a little bit of info. Someone yesterday posted that when you copy the utz file to the computer and change it its extension to a zip file, you can play around with its contents.

Thanks for the info.

I already have FileMan on my phone but I don't quite understand what you're trying to say. Where do I find the themes in the phone actually? The default themes that are pre-installed in the phone, what are their directory?

@ gbrook3
Well that's good to know.
But what happens if you then finish editing and then return the file to its original UTZ extension? I know some files don't like to be fiddled with in that fashion.
@ Brasco
Go to "A:\system\data\themes" and there you will find the default Themes options that came with the phone.
Another directory to investigate is "C:\system\data\themes"
I don't have a clue as to what things you fiddle with to get the desired results you are after - although I would like to learn.
I hope that helps.
Good luck.

@gbrooks3
I tried that tip, and it worked great! Thanks for that!
@plevyadophy
Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate that. I'll try that as soon as the phone finishes charging.
Well, I'm just trying to tweak it a little bit so as to fit as I desire it to be, you know, a little change of colour for the fonts and sorts.
Again, thank you.
