Certain firmware for the Sony/Ericsson P900/P908 were not included in iSync and Address Book. This prevented the sync of these phones with Mac OS X. Also, Address Book features like making and receiving calls through AddressBook were disabled. Firmware affected is on the SE P900, CNP900, and CNP908.
Someone has created a set of files which, when installed, will:
Enable Bluetooth Setup Program to find and install SE P900/P908 phones
Enable iSync
Enable make and receive calls through Address Book
Start by downloading a file called P900Rev1.zip from this
.Mac iDisk (
124KB direct download). The folder contains all the files, along with necessary installation instructions. These files will be specially helpful for those who are not comfortable with Terminal usage.

hmm ... while my p900 was able to sync with iSync, sending SMS or placing calls from within address book was not possible.

Sending SMS's will never be possible as SE have chosen not to implement the required AT commands in the Symbian OS of the phone.
I'm not sure about voice calls though as I don't have a P900. I just posted this in the hope it would benefit someone!

I presume you backed up the original files before replacing them? If so, just restore the back-ups...
