Just wondering... the side LED that lights RED when you charge the phone - why didnt make it like blink blue or green or red or just something, when there's a new/unread message? or perhaps an unanswered call?

I really miss that "feature".

With the display 100% off, you have to push a button to see if theres been any action on the phone while you went to take a dump, or whatever you do/whereever you go without your phone.

Is there any chance that we might see this in future software? They can make the LED light red when it charges, so why not make it blink upon other things as well ?

Well that feature has allways been on the ericsson and some sony ericsson phones but they removed it for some reason and I bet that it's because of the whining bitches that "couldn't sleep" because of the blinking green led but yeah turning the phone on the other side so you won't see the led is too difficult

@supra2800

That isn't a bad idea I suppose; it might be quite useful as an indicator light for other features on the S700.

@Jim , I hear you - I remember one of my old Ericsson's had it too. But it was there ALWAYS.

My idea with this is only to use it as an indication, like "dude, you just missed some action - look at me!"-LED.

At least they could make it an option, so people can decide for themselves if they want to have it on or not

Problem with the current situation is, that you have no clue of knowing that you missed something, with the display turned off.

Does have a suggestion-box somewhere?

@supra

I get your point and I am absolutely for it. I miss it too, the way how it was on old Ericsson phones!! It was such a nice feature! And I would appreciated the LED indicator blinks all the time after received sms and etc. not onli for a while...I mean blinking faster than "normally"...

That is a very good idea. (Only if it were symbian. :-( ) then again, this is a very nice feature that can be incorporated in a newer firmware. This message was posted from a K500

@govigov

Why does it need to be Symbian?

Being se, we know that they will never incorporate that in the next fw. @scots, if it were symbian, cant we make an app for it? (Sorry if i was being stupid.) This message was posted from a K500

@ supra2800: yup it was really helpfull, I still don't see why SE removed and for the option thingy I think it must be for the design: not very beatifull to see the elds if you don't use them ... .

@ SnowBear: might be but leds doesn't consume alot
