Wow, i am really annoyed at this. Leave my coat in school for half an hour, and the pockets get picked instantly.
Oh well, has anyone else had experiences of phones stolen?
And how did you get over them

Sorry to hear that, its common at my sons school too.
He now leaves his K700 at home and uses my old Motorola V3688 for school. apparantly a couple of big boys came up to him and asked him for his phone and when they saw what it was they gave it back

Sorry to hear that mate. Well here we didnt take phones to school. Hmmm...makes me wonder wat i'll do if my phone ever gets stolen...perhaps i'll have to go back to usin a monochrome one *shudders*

It's a shame there's no software to enable you to track the phone to it's current location. Looking on the brightside, you weren't mugged and beaten up for it! It's a sad state of affairs as you're now wondering who has ur phone and who you can't trust.

i thought the police were able to do this. Because the phone sends out a signal every so often. Its used when trying to find missing persons i think.. but i dont really know.

The police are only able to track it if it's switched on. Sadly a stolen phone may not be too high on the priority list. If it was there may not be as much phone theft.
Could the network send an instruction to the phone to effectively kill it, making it unusable? Provided it's still on of course...

very sad that it happened to you.
It was the same with my t610, had it in my bag for an hour unattended and it got stolen
...had to pay £50 to get a new one through the insurance.
