There was approx 10 dead pixels on phone in solid yellow color at middle bottom of the screen, today there was 25 dead pixels same yellow color. Pixels are bunched up and adjacent to each other. Problem started out of no where, nothing unusual done to the phone. anyone experience the same problem?

Yes it has been reported b4. If your phone is witho warranty, they will replace it. Apparently, if there is one or two, they will not. In your case, i think they will. Does the phone still have warranty? This message was posted from a K500

Nope. You will have to pay for screen and service. This message was posted from a K500

it would be cheaper to do it yourself.. the screens are going very cheap on Ebay and it's easy to replace one

Wat you're experiencin are not dead pixels...its just your display going bad for watsover reason. First of all dead pixels are there only in the active matrix displays(tfts) and not stn displays. Another thing is dead pixels never expand...they are a production defect(1 or 2 transistors out of millions not workin is very probable) and if you happen to buy a tft with a dead pixel you are just unlucky however it will never expand. And while i'm on the topic i'll add that the only companies that offer zero dead pixel guarantee are samsung(according to wat i've recently heard) and nintendo(who promise to replace your ds if it has a dead pixel). Most of the companies wont do anything until you have 4 to 8 dead pixels.
