Hi, has anyone ever tried this program? Could anyone please tell me more about it?

1) What does the unlocking do?
2) What does the flashing do?
3) and what else does it do anyway?

Sorry i'm still new to this phone

1. Sometime, some service providers make sure that only sims from their company will only work in that particular phone. This is known as locking. Unlocking is making a locked phone accept any sim. A locked phone will show a message "insert correct sim" when another sim is inserted. 2. Phones use a software for their functioning. Sometimes they may have some bugs. In that case new software is released for the phone. Upgrading or reinstalling the phone's software is called flashing. This message was posted from a K500

UnLocking and flashing are two different things. No connection between the two. To unlock your phone, you should get the unlock code from your service provider. This message was posted from a K500

Flashing is need to upgrade software. First you need to know your software version. Check it. If a newer firmware is out, you have the option of upgrading. A newer firmware is more stable. It can also add more features to the phone. If your phone is under warranty, a service centre will do it for free. Else you need to say them. However you can flash a phone all by yourself by using a cable. I will not recommend it. Many things MAY go wrong when you flash your phone. What phone are you using? Where are you? Is it under warranty? Did you learn how to check firmware? (Tech term for the phone's software version) if not head over esato faq. It is given there in detail. This message was posted from a K500

@thr3e

unlocking juz able u to use singtel, m1, starhub sim card.. if u never unlock u must use ur original network.... depends on where u buy it frm.. if u can use singtel , m1, starhub or other sim card sim card now.... tats mean is ok.. no need to unlock.

flash is juz upgrading.... so bugs is removed.. and improve.... another flashing is to remove branded firmware... if ur menus have other network logo like vodafone... means its branded... so if u want the original SE firmware.. than get it removed by flashing... anyways it goes dwn to u.. if ur happy with ur phone... no need than...
