Heres some info about the new Sony /// Z500i: Its a clamshell phone with a 65k internal screen and 128x160 pixel.It features Push-To-Talk (Walkie Talkie) and a 3D game engine.It has EDGE high-speed data and measures 93x49x24 and weighs 110g.Does anybody know any more info?

isn't it the same as Z500a but without branding of Cingular and a new set of GSM frequencies? It just suite better to Asia and Europe GSM market.
For what I saw Z500a in US. Kinda disappointed. Materials are well made, but the phone is too wide making the screen to look small and I can hardly see in the sun with its CSTN screen. I would be better off with it if it had TFT or TFD like its brother Z600. The spects without Bluetooth and Infared is a complete disaster to people who actually knows what it is. FGS people who buy T610 doesn't even know it has Bluetooth or Infared. So Z500a would definitely fit U.S. Carriers but for other places in the world? May be not too much.

Cause maybe lot of ppl didnīt buy it cause of the bad screen and no IR nor BT capabilities I guess, and if mmsman is correct, it would definitely make sense, why waste so much in a phone no one buys cause a mess?

Never been a fan of clamshell phones, apart from EDGE the Z500 was always going 2 be the blacksheep in the SE family. Hope it's true that they cancelled it.

i just got a Cingular z500a phone. so far so good. i mean i got 2 for US$49.99 after mail in rebates. not bad at all! it's true that it does not have bluetooth and infrared, that seems to be lacking after all the other great features (like java, video and camera) but i don't mind because i am not a heavy file transfer person... i like this phone a lot.
