Hi, hoping somebody can help me with this one because, as I am sure you can appreciate, it is really irritating!

Basically, the title says it all - I synchronise, my new p910 with Outlook 2003 at home, and it just duplicates everything. Tried with Full synchronise on and off no apparent difference Using both bluetooth and

Thinking it could be a problem on my PC I tried at work - Outlook XP this time and bluetooth only. Same thing - I sync 5 times, I wind up with 5 copies of each contact.

The only thing I can think is that I used to have Nokia sync for my old 6600 on both PCs - could this have left behind some old settings?

I have already updated the (already current) firmware using the Ericsson web app - could this be the T-mobile branded software on my 'phone? I read some people complaining about potential problems with the branded versions?

Any advice appreciated!

TIA

I also have the same problem. I uninstalled the connectivity software and then master reset the phone. I then used my old connectivity software (P900) and the problem was solved. However I installed the new version again and followed the instructions in the SE website and so far not have that problem but still cant synchronise my calendar entries. Here is the link to the set of instructions and the latest connectivity software.

Thanks siva,

I have the latest software at work (not actually sure what version I have at home. I use Linux most of the time - setting sync up here looks more complicated though!

Do you know of anywhere that has the older version of the sync software available for download (would a previous version even support the p910?)

Gotta say, I am not impressed at the quality of the sync software. Looking both here and elsewhere on the 'net it is apparent that lots of people are having the same problem with only anecdotal fixes

This morning I downloaded a trial version of lotus organiser and no longer have these problems (i had to convert my outlook files to lotus and then master reset the phone and so far no problems). It is synchronising all the calendar, contacts and everything else without any problems. Now I have to buy the license for lotus in the next 30 days and older versions are cheaply vailable in Ebay!. I already use thunderbird for my emails and so wont be missing outlook!!

note:The older sync software supports P900 (in my case anyway) as I had P900 till 2 days ago. I dont have where you can get hold of them though.

Cool - I must admit I was considering this.

I shouldn't really use Lotus at work, but I am in IT, so I can BS a bit if I want

Will get rid of the silly allow access messages too

For your info, Lotus Smartsuite Milennium (ver 9.8 ish I think) sells for about £20 new. OK, it is really end of life - the last big release was in 1999 - however you do get a full office suite including Lotus Organiser.

Just so you don't go paying £30 for a second hand no licence copy on Ebay

Cheers again - I use Thunderbird also - both at work and at home, so no need for Outlook at all

Hi boringgit

Could you tell me where I can get new lotus smartsuite for £20. Hopefully my brother will find his unused CD soon and if not I may have to buy a new one. Thanks
