Hi,
Hope this year brings a promise that the K 700 i software becomes bugfree..!
Why is that..well here a wish list of my problems..!

1) The Phone Book Deletes contact if you delete any one number..I have heard that the new firmware R2AE has solved the problem..but no one has posted the actual result.

2) Why does the phone display the number calling, When I have saved the number a contact name..Although this problem is not always there.

3)Why does a contact next to another display each others number mixed by..Let's say Contact A has a number 123..and Contact B has number 456 but sometimes its displayed in Contact B -123..Why is that..!

4) The Bugging Shutter sound..! Well Its risky to get the phone tweaked from unofficial resource softwares...!

Please Feel free to add any more sugesstions or wish lists..!

BTW I ordered the some replacement parts; The camera mirror and quickshare sticker..They arrived today..So I can say that this company sells a good product..!

With modern software being so complicated, it is highly unlikely that a product can be made totally bug free. The only way to minimise bugs is to perform a high degree of regression testing.

I can answer your questions so here goes:

1) The contact search in R2AE has been upgraded. You can enter more than 3 search characters and pressing C will delete the last letter you entered instead of deleting a contact.

2) This can happen sometimes if the number is coming through in international format, e.g. your saved number may be 07733... and the number may come through as +447733... but the phone is supposed to recognise this and display it as the contact. I never had this trouble on R2L but it may be a bug, upgrade to R2AE to be sure.

3) This is a well documented bug in the k700, a firmware upgrade is the only solution to this (this has been rectified in R2AE).

4) By using the DaVinci Server unlocking software will update the firmware and allow you to disable the shutter sound when the phone is in silent. I have not used DaVinci before so I cannot provide any info on how to do this (pm Vee, he is the man for DaVinci).

Well Thank you all for answering my queries..Well it seems like R2AE is an upgrade I need..Well What would you suggest should I get upgraded to R2AE or wait out for the next release which might carry more advanced features...The only hassle here is that I have run out of warranty as it is..its aprox Rs.250 to flash..I definetely want the juice to be worth the squeeze..!
