I don't think he was lying, this guy used to do nothing but flash phones. I wish I had his e-mail address, so I could find out more. I know you can flash a t610 with t630 firmware..

no way no no no no

1. T610 Uses an AVR chip and the K700 use ARM only.

2. The K700 firmware is way to big to fit into the T610

3. How does he propose to flash a T610 with crypted K700 files? maybe he one of the fortunate people with the ability to decrypt files from EMMA II

4. there are about 400000000000000000000000000000 other reason why this is not happening.

The person you were talking to is a liar!

T630 is possible to flash to the T610, however the T630 uses a TFT lcd wheras the T610 uses an STN screen, so you would need to change the screen to make it work, i have performed many of these.

Okay, do you know of a place to purchase just the t630 lcd? And also, how difficult is this to do?

What are the other benifits of upgrading to t630 firmware? So far the only one I can see is Instant Messaging..

The main benifit is the screen, much better quality. You can get them from Ebay quite cheaply and you will also need a terminator dongle, or some such flashing device.
