Finally got a k700i after a stint with a Nokia 6600.
One question: When I first charged the phone, it charged for about 1minute then went out...should I keep it on charge or turn it on?

I pressed the On button at the top of the k700 and it started charging again...ah well.

Erm, it is recommended you leave your phone for about 8-12 hours for its first charge. Then it will give the battery peak performance, but its up to you.

im a new k700 user as well, and ive encountered this. left my phone charging for 4 hours and when i saw it it was still showing the charging sign. so if i charge it for 8 or more hours the charging sign will change?

When your phone is being charged the batt indicator will move. If it does not move then it will be full. Moreover, if you plug in the charger, it will always show optimised charging. So just look at the batt meter. Your batt needs 4 to 5 recharge cycle b4 it starts normal life.
