if you mean the possibilty to search for the first 3 letters in a contacts name - yes! Like "sup" for "supra" instead of only "s" for "supra, sierra, smoothie, s700" (if you get the idea).

Its activated... you just start typing the letters, and the first 3 letters you type, will be used in the search.
