If you plan to use it without the flip, you should have just got a P900 and done a P910 softmod, it would have worked out much cheaper for you.

As for your question, it depends entirely on how much typing you want to do on the phone, and if you can handle writing everything using handwriting recognition or using the on screen keyboard. There's software available to get a fullscreen keyboard too, so that might make things easier. If you decide to use it without the flip, i'd most definately recommend you get an anti-scratch screen protector. I've never taken the flip off my P900, so i can't really comment on which is best, but i can't imagine using it without the keypad. It just depends what you use it for really.

Hope this helps, PM me for further info.

I've had mine for just over a month now, tried taking the flip off (slims it down a bit) but decided its handy having the flip on for making calls. Unless you use voice dialling and loads of texts never using the flip i would leave it on

@aqua: Its up to you. Play around with it. But personally, I would forget about that excuse for a keypad :D. Strictly my personal opinion. That keypad is completely useless to me. This message was posted from a P800

i alternate every two weeks or so. I change the flip whenever i get bored of the look of the phone. I can live with or without the flip.

besides, that little screwdriver is cool to play with.

btw, having the flip on helps to protect the screen. portion of it anyway.

With the flip, the keypad's so cute
Actually I use it to type longer esato posts and emails and stuff, so very useful. Also means i can start office documents (homework for school) on the bus/train and continue thm when i get home. Doing essays with a stylus gives me cramp!!

@aqua, i have no idea, but thank god you created only one thread. 2 nights back was hell and we had so much fun. Personally, if you dont use the flip, you should be better of with a p900. This message was posted from a K500
