Search for a thread named diff between msduo and msduo pro. It has all your answers. This message was posted from a K500

ms - memory stick
ms duo - small memory stick up to 128mb
ms duo pro - small memory stick up to 2gb.
ms adaptor - you can put a ms duo/duo pro into it and make a memory stick to fit into devices.

I have not yet come across any USB card reader that reads MS duo or MS duo pro, so the adapter is best used to put your MS duo into a card reader on your computer. A card reader is much faster than the phone for saving files onto your MS.
