I just updated the PC suite by downloading the install file from SE. Having run the install file I am now confused by the fact that upon opening "backup and restore" from the start menu the displayed version number is 1.15.9.12 and the "readme" file states its version 3.1.0.

So I'm confused. I expected it to be 3.1.1 per the info on the SE site. Does this sound right to you?

that's probably the version no. for the backup/restore module. there are probably a whole host of revisions to the many other components of the PC Suite, warranting the revised version number.

Hmmm ok. So why would the readme state its version 3.1.0 if I have just run an install file named Vs 3.1.1?

Dunno why the readme says 3.1.0 but I can tell you that I'm using the same version of Backup/Restore as you mentioned and it has the same version number. It is definitely PC Suite 3.1.1 though, so I wouldn't worry.

Its cool thanks Dave, all done now. The only thing that didnt restore or come back were the people i had entered into SmartBirthday. Dont matter though, dont like most of them anyway!
