its switched off when the sound is on minimal level? i mean, its matter if i left my radio turned on with minimal sound level or i should switch it off to not drain the battery,e.g

If you are not on the radio screen itself with a station tuned in or have not "minimized" it then you can assume the radio is switched off and not consuming power

I think it will still drain battery if your are in the Radio or have it minimised even with volume on min. It will still be receiving & processing the radio signal.

Why would u want to leave it like that though & not simply close it until u use it again?

yup as long as the application is running it is still draining battery. Let me just add that at minimum volume it should consume less power compared to higher volumes as power to drive the speakers are also reduced.

thanks. I wanted to left my radio turned on, because i am always carying phone in my bag and to switch off i have to open, get it and close the radio.
but not important, i am very lazy, i think.
