Hi all,
I have an Ericsson T68 and when I try to synchronize that with MS Outlook 2002 I regularly get a crash "Application error: The instruction at 0x77f821e1 referenced memory at 0x000000d6. The memory could not be read" in EPMWORKER.EXE after reproducibly 16 contact records.
When I contacted the XTNDConnect/Extended Systems folks I was told that EPMWORKER.EXE is a piece of shit^H^H^H^H software made by Ericsson and that I should contact THEM regarding the problems I described. When I contacted Ericsson I was bluntly told, that they do not support Outlook 2002, only Outlook 2000. That was in April of this year and nothing has changed nor improved since.
One would assume, that being able to snchronize with a not so new version of MS Outlook would be a pretty standard requirement these days, but obviously Ericsson thinks differently...
Any idea or guess, how to work around those crashes? Any data or field content that is known to cause such crashes?
While I like my T68 very much, due to that missing synchronization capability my phone still contains a very rudimentary set of numbers only, since I never found the time and patience to enter all the number I would like to be carrying with me.

@mmo
I heard myself

This problem gone away when i upgraded to T68i, along with the latest MPM. (but I think the critical issue here is the mobile equipment)
However, there is a workaround:
1. create another contact folder, eg called 'temp'
2. MOVE all your contacts to 'temp'
3. move about 10 contacts back to 'Contacts'
4. Initiate Sync
5. Repeat (3) and (4) until all your contacts are sync'ed
(note: you might want to disable Task and Calender Sync for the time being, till all Contacts are in)
This works because the problem occured only when there's a large amount of data to transfer, next time if you update any contacts, it will definatelly less than 10.
Hope this solve your problem for the time being.
Cheers,
floAt
