seeing as most phones have this nowadays, does this let you view html pages?
if not roughly how many phones nowadays have a html compliant browser?

xhtml is html format made to fit the screen of small devices.i think wap 2.0 still makes u view html (if simply viewing is ur concern) except that it wouldnt be much fun not being able to view the site in full,at once, with a small screen.
