Hi,
I have a P910i and am of course dissapointed that the syncstation still uses a serial usb connection.
I have ordered a bluetooth dongle for my PC, mainly for wireless comms using Opera, but will the BT connection speed (ie. when transfering files) be faster than that of the USB syncstation?
Thanks in advance
Jon

Unfortunately, bluetooth transfer cannot match USB sync speeds, Jon! We're still awaiting faster bluetooth, just as Firewire over USB speeds!

Hi,
are you sure: remembering that although the SyncStation is USB, it actually uses serial speeds:
SERIAL
"While most standard serial ports have a maximum transfer rate of 115 Kbps " (http://computer.howstuffworks.com/serial-port1.htm)
and...
BLUETOOTH
"Bluetooth transfers data at a rate of 721 Kbps, which is from three to eight times the average speed of parallel and serial ports, respectively. This bandwidth is capable of transmitting voice, data, video and still images." (http://www.mobileinfo.com/Bluetooth/FAQ.htm#t5)
So won't BT be faster at file transfer?

I thought so! - I know the stats back it up, but just wanted someones practical experience.

Does anyone make a Bluetooth-to-WIFI box so you could have that in another pocket and use it to connect to the web?
