I have just got a T610 of Ebay, knowing the LCD screen wasn't clear, I have replaced the screen but it's still the same. Basically you can see the menu etc but it's way too bright. can anyone help?

Welcome to esato, have you tried changing the contrast? This message was posted from a K500

If adjusting it doesn't work in the standard contrast menu, go into the service menu by pressing >*<<*<* , where the arrows are the direction to push the joystick. There's then a menu called 'service settings' (I think), and in there another option to adjust the contrast. I'd suggest though setting the contrast on the normal contrast menu to about the middle first, then adjust the contrast in the service menu.

Thanks for that tip sammy_boy. I was having hell with my screen.
It was really bright and I was looking for a fix. Many people on the internet have complained that the screen was too dark. However my problem was the opposite. After ages, I found this thread.

How did you know this code? Is there any other way to access it?

A problem Im having now with the display is that when at a screen with a single colour, apart from white (eg. the minigolf start screen) there are vertical lines in this direction \, not clear, but noticable. It looks like flickering. Anything to worry about?

It's like that in minigolf.
All nearly all mophun games do flicker.

Thats weird, bacuse this is the second T610 I have got, and I am sure that I did not see any flicker in minigolf the last time i played.
My eyes seem to ache when using the phone now, probably cause my eyes are used to the slow refresh rate of this phone.

Still, I can exchange it under a 28 day guarantee, so ill do that and post back about the situation onthe new phone.

The battery face plate seems to be a bit loose as well anyway.
