Just trying to set up my HBH-30 with my p910 and i cant seem to get it to work.
I reset the headset, and paired it up with the phone, no problems so far. When the phone rings it connects to the headset (which also rings) and i can take the call in the headset fine. so far so good.
So i set up some voice tags, activate voice dialling, and try to make a call by pressing the button on the headset.. and... nothing. It just beeps for a minute or so as if trying to connect to the phone, but the phone doesnt respond.
Now, if i go into the headset prefences in the phone it seems to wake up- the "B" (bluetooth active)symbol changes in to a "B" wearing a pair of headphones to signify that it is connected to the headset, and the blue light flashes on and off quickly, if i press the button on the headset now it works fine- connects to phone and asks me for a voice command. However if i just leave the phone, after about 20 seconds the "B" in headphones changes back to just normal bluetooth "B" and i cannot connect from the headset again. Not much use.
I dunno if i missed some setting somewhere, because the orange version of the manual only has one paragraph on bluetooth which doesnt help much, the headset is fine and works ok when tested with my other phones, so its gotta be the phone. Anyone else come across this problem or have any idea of the cause/fix?

I have the same problem and it has been discussed here before. I do not think there is a solution other than to get a newer headset.

I had precisely this problem when using an old(er) headset. I suspected it didn't support the 'always connected'-type connection that the P910i insists upon. But since upgrading to an HBH-600, all has been well.
