hi i seem to have formatted my memory stick duo, bcus i had a load of rubbish on it, and it has gotten rid of all of the subfolders on it, sooo i have made the new folders exacly the same but when i put it bak in the phone it doesnt read the folders i made, also it wnt let me take photos now, it says ''memory stick not formatted'' ...what does this mean? ...help thnx

you need to format the mem stick with fat16 system. the phone cant recognise the fat32 or fat64 system that windows uses as standard. The other way is to format the card on a p series phone.

If you formatted into the wrong FAT system, you should fix that (FAT16).
But you dont have to create the folders. Just put it back in your phone, your phone will freeze for a few secs, but it automatically creates the necessary folders.
