> K700i really quiet when in conversation

Hi there; it's my first post.
I don’t know if my phone is broken but for some reason when i am on the phone the sound is extremely quiet. When the phone rings its really loud so it can’t be a broken speaker. I have tried increasing the volume using the buttons on the side (it goes to maximum conversation volume but it’s so quiet I cannot hear people unless the room is silent.) Any help would be greatly appreciated

The speaker is different from the earphone(which is speaker in the front through which you listen to calls) To to service menu...perform earphone service tests to see if its broken.

a friend had the same problem - what he had done was decrease the earphone volume when he had the hands free cable plugged in - all subsequent calls without the handsfree were very quiet. We cured this by plugging the handsfree unit in again and increasing the volume to maximum - when we took the handsfree cable out - the profile changed back to normal and the earphone volume was back to normal
