Does any one know what happen whn you flash or unbrand a phone, has anyone tryed this before,maybe to reset a codeor something or just unbrand it

People flash or get their phones flashed all the time, to upgrade the firmware or to get rid of unbranding, when you flash it you flash it with a certain file that will either get the branding off or put new firmware on.
Exactly what do you want to know about it?....if anything can go wrong etc etc?

i want to know if it resets the codes: every single code on the phone, cause mine got a phone lock on it to a orange sim card on a tmobile phone which i dont want beucase i want to use a o2 chip, it's 4-8 digit code but i dont know it when i got it off a buyer, anyone know if it will reset on flashing/unbranding it
